Passive Positioner
The passive positioner is a transparent bimaxillary appliance made of a light flexible material. It is used to obtain an optimum result at the end of the orthodontic treatment or to prevent unwanted dental movements. The positioner is realized based on a gnathologic setup and is aimed to correct the dental arch position in occlusion. The device can be also used to obtain dental movements up to 1.5 mm, especially during the finishing stage of an orthodontic treatment. Air circulation channels are provided and the appliance can be produced in three different thicknesses: 1.5 mm / 2.0 mm / 3.0 mm.
